Trust, Safety & Credentials
Are you insured and certified?
Yes — Furriendly Critter Sitters LLC is fully insured, and owner Jen Jasmin is Fear-Free certified, a Certified Professional Pet Sitter through Pet Sitters International, and holds current Pet First Aid & CPR certification. Every team member serving Titusville, Mims, and Northern Brevard County completes Jen’s pet care training program before working with clients.
Are your team members background checked?
Yes — all Furriendly Critter Sitters team members are screened through Acutraq background screening, so your home and your pets are in trustworthy hands.
What does Fear-Free certified mean for my pet?
Fear-Free certified means we’re trained to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress for pets during care. In practice, we go at your pet’s pace, read their body language, and never rush or force a visit — your pet’s comfort leads every decision we make.

What happens if there's an emergency while I'm away?
We’re trained in Pet First Aid and CPR and act immediately — we contact you and your emergency vet right away and follow the emergency plan we build together at your Meet & Greet. For weather emergencies common to Florida, we also help you plan ahead.

Is in-home pet sitting better than boarding?
For most pets, yes. Your fur baby stays in their own home with their own bed, toys, and routine — no kennel noise, no exposure to other animals’ illnesses, and no stressful adjustment period. Senior and anxious pets especially do much better at home.
How do I know my sitter actually showed up?
Every visit is logged and ends with a detailed photo report sent right to your phone through Time to Pet, so you always know when we arrived, what we did, and how your fur baby is doing.
Comparing Your Options
Furriendly Critter Sitters vs. a pet sitting app like Rover — what's the difference? A:
With an app like Rover you get whoever is available, often a stranger with no local roots, no insurance you control, and no consistent training. With Furriendly Critter Sitters you get a local, fully insured, Fear-Free certified team that knows Titusville and Mims, follows your exact routine, and is handpicked and trained by Jen herself. Same fur baby, very different level of care.

Should I hire a professional pet sitter or just ask a friend or neighbor?
Do I really need a pet sitter, or can my cat be left alone?
Even independent cats need daily eyes on them — a missed litter box, a tipped water bowl, or an early sign of illness can turn serious fast when no one’s checking. Our Northern Brevard County drop-in visits keep your cat safe, fed, and monitored in their own home rather than left to fend for themselves.
